4.  If Googling the mailing list archives doesn't answer your question, you can get in touch with the Lustre developers directly (and for free) using the High Performance Data Division (HPDD) mailing list.  As the core of Lustre is vast, nobody knows the entire scope in detail, but Intel HPDD does have a very active mailing list; participants include the Lustre Developers as well as the Lustre Architects and Administrators throughout the Lustre Community.  More often than not, the mailing list is the best way to get answers to Lustre questions.
