Lustre 2.4 is planned to be a regular feature release as a follow-on to Lustre 2.3 which was made generally available (GA) on 2012-10-22. There are several new features, improvements, and bug fixes that have been, or are currently being developed for landing to the Lustre Master branch. Lustre 2.4 will use the train model approach where only those features landed prior to the Feature Freeze Date (2013-01-31) will be included in the release. This release will subsequently be the basis for a series of maintenance releases
